MIJ. Good condition with some player wear and small chips and scratches. First year production for Pleasant electric guitars. This solid timber laminated body. Bolt on comfortable laminated neck. Original Pleasant square pole single coil pickup in bridge. Unknown pickup in original cover in neck. Electrics upgraded with CTS pots, orange drop cap and switchcraft jack with good quality wire. Newer sealed gear tuners fitted. Non original upgraded Tune-o-matic bridge. Original cast vibrato with arm. Missing headstock badge. Very nice example of an early Pleasant solid body electric. No case.
Plesant guitars were made in the Shinko Gakki factory and only made electric guitars for 2 years ('64-'66) and were considered one of the better-quality factories having made organs and pianos. Plesant was the domestic name, and they were sold OS as Cipher, Lafayette and Westone, among others.
