FAQs, Shipping and Policies
I am currently online only. I do not have access to a space for trying out/testing before you buy.
The site is updated regularly and is accurate for stock on hand. Everything currently available for sale is on the site.
I do not do lay-by/pay off or any third party "buy now pay later" schemes.
All custom Tym items (inc effects, cables etc) on this site are constantly being hand made by me as I find time and are uploaded for sale as they become available. I can not give time frames due to parts supply and availability of my time.
I do not do presales/preorders or holds on any of my hand made stuff.
I ship worldwide (where accessible during Covid) by registered courier.
Shipping prices are added in the cart after you add but before you purchase.
I keep everyone up to date with what's being done and released on my NEWS page as my social medias are only used for casual updates, info and pics. I do not (very rarely) interact or look at my social media.
I am currently not taking on custom (effects/guitar/amp/hardware) work until further notice.
I have an extensive blog (over 500 articles) about what I do, how I do it and why including info about all of my products and services.
I do not do video/online demos of any of my gear. There are some online demos out there if you search for them but they're not endorsed by me.
Gift certificates can not be used for hand made/custom items without prior agreement.
I can not ship to PO Boxes or Locked bags.
I currently do not have a pick up option.
I ship to ALL accessible countries but I am currently not shipping large items (guitars/amps etc) overseas due to Covid restrictions in some countries.
All sales are shipped from Brisbane by my preferred courier with tracking (where applicable) and insurance. I do not offer third party pick up/shipping.
I am attempting to ship by courier twice a week. Contact me if something is urgent and I will do my best to ship ASAP.
Tracking is included on all medium/large items. If you require tracking choose one of these. Tym guitars accepts no responsibility for lost or undelivered orders once they leave our premises.
Shipping is subject to payments.
A re-delivery charge within Australia of $16 will be charged if no-one is there to accept the shipment on first delivery by courier.
Customs and import taxes may be applicable on shipments overseas. Check with your local customs for more info.
Shipping charges are not refunded.
We offer exchanges on some products within 14 days. If you are not completely satisfied the product is "as described" or it is faulty, contact us and discuss it. You will need your tax invoice (email receipt) as proof of purchase. Faulty items will be replaced/repaired where possible for the duration of the warranty. Other returns will be exchanged or credited as a gift voucher. Any product returned needs to be in original "as sold" condition with all relevant packaging. A return/restock fee of up to 10% of the purchase price may apply to returns.
Any product modified at the request of the customer is paid for in full before work commences and is not valid for return.
Items sold on consignment are sold with no warranty or return policy.
PayPal and overseas payments may incur an additional charge.
All products remain the property of Tym guitars until complete payment is received.
