On the bench

This Epiphone ET-285 bass came in for some love. You don't see many of these Matsumoku made basses around anymore but I'm a huge fan of these and the ET-200 series guitar versions. 

I had to repair the neck pickup on this one which thankfully went well. I was expecting to have to rewind it which isn't too difficult on these pickups. In fact, I rewound like it a few weeks ago out of a similar year Aria bass.

I also had to re-earth the neck pickup and then it was just an electronics clean and full setup which went well because these are well made basses. These are a standard Aria/Matsumoku pickup under these unique Epiphone chrome pressed metal covers.
