I finally got that 1946 Fender lap steel pickup rewound.
I had to completely rebuild the broken bobbin, so I hand made a centre section and attached them to 2 of the original flatwork ends.
This was wound with AWG43 to give me a very healthy 8.8K and the original lead wires were reattached and the whole assembly put back together.
I'll do a blog with lots of pics if anyone's interested. For now, it can go back to the customer to make more sliding noise.
