Tym Mud Fuzz
Out of Stock
This is a pretty simple little circuit that uses the classic, and very tonally reliable JRC4558 IC as the main drive section. It then uses 3 germanium clipping diodes for a warm fuzzy asymetrical fuzz tone. The pot is at the end of the circuit and adjusts the amount of volume. The circuit is fairly saturated from the start but about half way through it really starts to pick up in volume and fuzz and get's a little nasty on full. There's unity fuzz from about 4/10 so there's plenty of adjustment on tap, especially for just one knob.
My designs are inspired by the classic old units but with modern components and appointments and many options like true bypass or non true bypass switching, LED's, added "active" tone controls, boosts and "Boss" compatible 9 volt adapters. NONE of my pedals use batteries.
