FAQs

I am currently online only. I do not have access to a space for trying out/testing before you buy.

I do not sell on any third party or other online outlets. The site is updated regularly and is accurate for stock on hand. Everything currently available for sale is on the site.

All the items on the site are serviced/setup and described accurately. Some items may need adjustment for your personal preferences.

I do not do holds, lay-by/pay off or any third party "buy now pay later" schemes. All payments are through the site via PayPal. Shipping prices are added in the cart after you add but before you purchase.

All custom Tym items (inc effects, cables etc.) on this site are constantly being hand made by me as I find time and are uploaded for sale as they become available. I cannot give time frames due to parts supply and availability of my time.

I do not do presales/preorders, waiting lists or holds on any of my hand made stuff.

All correspondence and processing of orders is handled Mon-Fri.

I ship worldwide (where accessible during Covid) by registered courier.

I keep everyone up to date with what's being done and released on my NEWS page and/or join my monthly mailout as I no longer use/look at social media.

I am currently not taking on custom (effects/guitar/amp/hardware) work until further notice.

I have an extensive blog (over 500 articles) about what I do, how I do it and why including info about all of my products and services. 

I do not do video/online demos of any of my gear. There are some online demos out there if you search for them, but they're not endorsed by me.

Gift certificates cannot be used for handmade/custom items without prior agreement.

All prices are in Aus$. To choose a different currency click on the "country/region" at the bottom and choose from the dropdown menu.

SHIPPING

I cannot ship to PO Boxes or Locked bags. 

I can offer pick up if you're local and we can organise a time. Contact me prior to purchase if you'd like this option. 

I ship to all accessible countries, but I am currently only shipping large items (guitars/amps etc.) overseas by prior arrangement due to some shipping prices and restrictions.

All sales are shipped from Brisbane by my preferred courier with tracking and insurance (where applicable). If you require signature on delivery, please contact me. I do not offer third party pick up/shipping. 

All shipping to Tym guitars is the responsibility of the owner/customer.

I pack and book orders Mon-Fri, 9am-2pm. Contact me if something is urgent and I will do my best to ship ASAP.

Tym guitars accepts no responsibility for lost or undelivered orders once they leave our premises. 

Shipping is subject to payments. 

A re-delivery charge within Australia of $16 will be charged if no-one is there to accept the shipment on first delivery by courier. 

Customs and import taxes may be applicable on shipments overseas. Check with your local customs for more info. I do not mark packages at lower rates/costs for customs clearance. 

Shipping charges are not refunded.

POLICIES

We offer exchanges on some products within 14 days. If you are not completely satisfied the product is "as described" or it is faulty, contact us and discuss it. You will need your tax invoice (email receipt) as proof of purchase. Faulty items will be replaced/repaired where possible for the duration of the warranty. Other returns will be exchanged or credited as a gift voucher. Any product returned needs to be in original "as sold" condition with all relevant packaging. A return/restock fee of up to 10% of the purchase price may apply to returns. 

Please contact me immediately if there is an issue with a product. DO NOT get the item repaired or modified before contacting me for advice on how to proceed. All warranties or refunds are void once the item has been worked on by a third party. Any payments to third parties are not refundable without prior arrangement.

Any product modified at the request of the customer is paid for in full before work commences and is not valid for return. 

Items sold on consignment are sold with no warranty or return policy. 

PayPal and overseas payments may incur an additional charge.

All products remain the property of Tym guitars until complete payment is received.

All Tym products are covered by relevant warranties.
